Out and About

Last week, Pat and I roamed the roads to Lansing to photograph in Michigan State University’s botanical gardens. When we couldn’t find any parking anywhere near the gardens, we roamed the roads back home. Here is a small sample of what we saw.

More than Flowers

Even when Pat and I are shooting at a destination, whoever is driving stops when they see something or when the other says “stop!”. On the way to Holland we stopped at a beautiful railroad bridge setting. It must also be a good fishing spot as the bobber in the tree suggests.

At our Windmill Island destination there is the only working Dutch windmill in America

There are marshlands near the windmill where I was able to take this picture of a nesting Canadian Goose.

On the way home we stopped at a beautiful old barn where I took these pictures. I enjoy the intricate beauty of wood and, as I get older, the richness of wood that has aged well. May we all be so fortunate.
