Trillium is a plant that produces a single flower with three petals ( see more here: wikipedia ). In Michigan there are eight varieties (of the nine to occur in North America and Asia). Trillium are usually protected in the wild in Michigan (Michigan Trillium Protection ), but can be purchased from a garden store for home planting. It is exciting to see them growing in the wild. Enjoy!

(and my random mind). These images are from my recent Hidden Lake Gardens visit. Photography is very subjective. These images caught my eye for various reasons The water lily was gorgeous; especially with flash lighting. The purple cactus image had both pop and curvy lines. The water spoke to me of serenity and satisfied thirsts. How do these photos speak to you?

Yesterday, friend Pat and I spent some time at Hidden Lake Gardens near Tecumseh, Michigan. One of the first parking spots you come to (among many in the winding miles of roads) plays host to hosta of seemingly every variety and size. I hope you can get a glimpse of this hosta heaven from these images.
