The temperatures have been bitterly cold and the lighting dismal, but I have kept shooting. The delay in posting has been due to some out-of-country guests staying in my studio (downstairs bedroom). The first two shots are from Sochi. Actually they are taken from my sofa while watching the Olympics. (Note: these are not for sale and are posted for educational purposes only in accordance with U.S. copyright law.) Using a high ISO (3200) and a fast shutter speed allowed for these captures and also the relative graininess of the photos. t was an experiment that was fun. The next shot is from my front porch. (Did I mention the bitter cold?) The last two shots are from my deck. The bird seeming to take a bow is really pecking at the sunflower seed held by his(?) feet. The last shot is of some turkeys ambulating away from me. The shot had a narrow field of focus and was shot through a pine tree and an oak tree. I like the shot because of their various poses and – for all you bowlers – it’s a turkey of turkeys. 🙂
I like these shots, Julie. Especially the turkey trot!
Thanks Pat. I had other turkey shots, but liked this one the best.
